The Contract for Social
Commitment
Medical School Curriculum Project
MSU medical
students have a curriculum that has been enhanced with experiences,
interviews and didactic material to help prepare them to care
sensitively for a diverse patient population.
"Most
students “agreed” or “strongly agreed” that they should acquire
competence in caring for a diverse patient population, including care of
the poor. Attitudes remained high and positive throughout the first two
years of medical school."
